			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Scott Daly of Downers Grove South HS in IL has won the inaugural Chris Rubio Award for the best Long Snapper in the country at the high school level!</p>
<p>Scott was voted the winner by the selection committee over LSU commit Reid Ferguson of Buford HS in GA ana 2013 Long Snapper Cole Mazza of Liberty HS in CA.</p>
<p>The victory for Notre Dame bound Daly culminated an extravagant weekend put on by Herbalife that started with being picked up in a limo from LAX on Friday. All Long Snappers and a guest were featured at an exclusive dinner at the ESPN Zone at LA Live. Saturday morning, the Long Snappers and a guest were invited to a presentation on the Herbalife 24 line of products. Saturday afternoon, the Long Snappers, along with Chris Rubio were chauffered to Sunset Blvd to have lunch at the famous Saddle Ranch restaurant. Saturday evening, all guest were invited to the Herbalife headquarters at LA Live for the ceremony and presentation of awards. ESPN&#8217;s Sean Farnham was on hand as the master of ceremonies. A true great night for all involved and one to definitely put on your calendar for next year!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Cole, the only junior to make the finals, out of Liberty High School in California, has been named a finalist for the Chris Rubio Award!</p>
<p>Cole is one of those special talents that don&#8217;t come around too often. Built very well for his age and really throws the ball back to the punter. Ball is as fast as anyone in the country and he has to block while punt snapping. Cole is a work horse that is always improving.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It has been a tremendous 2011 High School football season.  Long Snappers from coast to coast, and even Alaska, have made headlines with tremendous single game performances and seasons.  Many will be rewarded with college scholarships and will be seen playing football on Saturdays and possibly Sundays.  The Herbalife 24 Chris Rubio Award will give well deserved recognition and exposure to the very best single season Long Snapping performer each year at the Varsity High School level.  The <a href="http://highschoolfootballawards.com/selection-committes/">Selection Committee</a> had its hands full, but made some great choices when all was said and done.</p>
